This machine was designed and engineered by Matrix Design to assemble a valve body and rubber tip. Assembly takes place around a dial using cam operated jaws that grip the valve body. A vibratory bowl feeds the valve bodies into a gravity track while a servo driven small dial is used for feeding the valve bodies to the main dial. Air tracks are used to move the rubber tip and a servo driven singulating mechanism grabs one unit at a time to insert on top of the valve body using thrust and rotation. After the parts are assembled, a vision camera inspects height and concentricity. If the parts are misassembled and do not meet the programmed critical dimension, it gets rejected through a vacuum. If the assembled part passes inspection, it gets ejected down a chute and into a waiting container on a conveyor belt at the bottom of the assembly machine.

Today, we’re giving you the four basic tips for small business automation: embrace technology, track time spent on tasks, reduce the number of processes and secure employee buy-in.

Tip 1: If you’re feeling the weight of daily tasks slowing you down, it’s well past time to invest money in small business technology and software. Otherwise, you’re trying to save money by losing productivity and that equation never works in your favor. Also, ensure that you invest time on the front end to set up your automation tools properly, this will ensure long-term success for the entire team.

Tip 2: Set up a time-tracking system for a day (or a week or a month) to learn how much time is being spent on everyday tasks from mundane to critical. Examine the time-tracking data to learn which tasks should be automated immediately and which ones can wait for a later date. There are going to be lots of automation options that can improve your business, this type of planning gives you a clear priority list to start from.

Tip 3: If you’ve been running your small business for a while, it’s time for some aggressive housecleaning on your existing marketing, logistics, sales and customer services processes. Take two weeks to a month and make it an absolute priority, reviewing everything until you’ve gone top to bottom. Schedule time with each team and walk step-by-step with them through their processes. It’s a near mathematical certainty that not only will you find processes that can be optimized, but many that should be discarded all together.

Tip 4: Help your team to understand not only how automation works, but how and why it will make everyone’s jobs easier and more effective. It’s very natural for team members to take the implementation of a new system as a sign they’re falling short somewhere. You no doubt have a great team, so take the time to guide them through not only the functions of the automation, but the ways in which the entire team will benefit. Give them confidence that they’re being given a tool, not a replacement. Make certain to bring the staff along for the automation ride, step-by-step.

1) THE MODEL - We are using the dropshipping model to make money. Amazon automation dropshipping allows you to hold no inventory inside of the business. Another term for this is "retail arbitrage". We are simply buying items for the purpose of reselling them. BUY LOW SELL HIGHER!

2) THE COST - This is the upfront cost of starting the amazon automation business. This is typically a one time fee, on top of that is a profit split off the stores net profit. Along with this will be costs from amazon.com and taxjar.com. Lastly is the overall cost of inventory.

3) THE CONTRACT - Find a company that lets you feel comfortable, for me this is a gut feeling. At first I thought this was an amazon automation scam. I later realized that a good contract will help you mitigate risk with the amazon automation service. Another great point to add is the buy back clause one company recently added that allows for a buy back if a store doesn't see a 30% ROI in the first 12 months.

4) EXPECTATIONS - This is a killer for most people. You must understand that the first 90 days with amazon automation will likely be slow. Amazon will consider you a new seller which makes it difficult to sell. Secondly, inventory compounds so give your store some time to grow before expecting to see sales.

5) SUSPENSIONS / DEACTIVATIONS - Being banned from amazon as a dropshipper is a risk you MUST be willing to take. Some companies will have a team in place to help you with these issues in the slim chance they do happen, but be aware they do happen. That is why the buy back is so critical!

6) INVENTORY SPEND - The margins are slim in the business, so you must have available credit of at least $20,000 recommended to start this business. Here is a link to a recent video I made about this!

7) CREDIT CARDS - You must decide if you want cash back or travel points when starting amazon automation. For me I chose travel cards and now I travel for free!

10) EXIT STRATEGY - Find out from whatever company you choose to use if they have an exit strategy for you. Most will have something for you to do! Make this a smart investment!

You’re sleepy, you wake in the middle of the night to get a drink. On your way to the kitchen, you stub your toe on a chair, kick the dog's water bowl which spills water all over the tile floor.

You search for the light switch, slipping on the spilt water and fall on your, well, you know. How many times have you wished that this late night venture of searching for the light switch could be automated?

Meaning, you just want to walk into the kitchen and the light will turn on all on its own. And of course, when you are finished and leave the room, the light should turn off as well. Well, an automatic process such as this is not unlike the factory floor and the concept of automation or industrial automation.

This video discusses manual processes versus automated processes. The manual process being fumbling around in the kitchen searching for that illusive light switch and the automatic process of the light turning on automatically when you enter the room.
